Course Description:

Full Certification Course

This practical course will provide learners with simple, yet effective, external techniques to assess, treat and teach self management of PPGP within the biopsychosocial approach. There is no internal assessment/treatment in this course, although external assessment of the pelvic floor will be taught. This course is open to all physiotherapists, manual therapists, and pelvic floor physiotherapists who would like to improve their skills managing this often challenging condition.

Content includes:

• Definition, etiology, presentation of PPGP

• Review of current state of literature 

• Biopsychosocial context

• Assessment of PPGP

• Treatment of PPGP, including neurophysiological manual strategies

• Practical movement strategies and positioning for daily activities 

• Downtraining techniques to decrease high tone pelvic floor, hip and lumbo-pelvic muscles

• Self management 

• Case Studies

• Practical Examination for Certification

No prerequisite online course is required. If you have already completed the online course*, you can register for Sunday only for certification. (Please see details below). After completion you will be listed on the Rost Therapy Find a Therapist Website for 5 years.

If you have completed one of the above online courses, you can register for the second PGP day for $300 + HST for certification OR you can register for both PGP days and receive a $60 discount if you want to take the full 2 day course.
