Full Certification Course
This practical course will provide learners with simple, yet effective, external techniques to assess, treat and teach self management of PPGP within the biopsychosocial approach. There is no internal assessment/treatment in this course, although external assessment of the pelvic floor will be taught. This course is open to all physiotherapists, manual therapists, and pelvic floor physiotherapists who would like to improve their skills managing this often challenging condition.
Definition, etiology, presentation of PPGP
Review of current state of literature
Assessment of PPGP
Treatment of PPGP, including neurophysiological manual strategies
Practical movement strategies and positioning for daily activities
Downtraining techniques to decrease high tone pelvic floor, hip and lumbo-pelvic muscles
Practical Examination for Certification
No prerequisite online course is required. If you have already completed the online course*, you can register for Sunday only for certification. (Please see details below). After completion you will be listed on the Rost Therapy Find a Therapist Website for 5 years.
